gwyn david price died aug 18th 2004 age 29.taxi driver/child carer.from blyth northumberland.leaves a mam ruby brother ian sister christine.son adam now 3 and grace now 5 ,alison and all the family too big too mention.gwyn was on his way back home from newcastle and was joining the great north road,but two lads were racing on the other side of the road,one clipped the kurb flipped up flew through the air and lander on top of my brother,killing him instantly and also the other guy who was only 20.my mam saw it on the news before we were told ,she saw his car on tv and collasped on the floor.the rest was just a blur.gwyn was the youngest of 3 i am 52 Ian 46 and he would have been 32.mams baby so to speak,it is very hard for her in fact for us all.we had to go through the court case and look at the lad responsible for our grief,he only got 7 years for that we should be grateful.I put flowers at the crash site most sundays and at xmas he gets a holly garland his cracker and party popper they are tied to the metal fence next to were he died.
we have created a garden at my mams and have a small grave there with some of his items buried in a box it is lovely,and on his anniversary family and friends come and we have a big bbq and let balloons go as we did on his funeral 29 special people were chosen.gwyn was a joker ,a lovely dad son brother,partnerwould help anyone,worked hard ,loved his holidays,i am so proud to have known him and very privilaged to have had him as my brotherxx.

'Twas the day before Easter
..and all through the woods,
The bunnies were busy
packing their goods.
The eggs were all coloured
so pretty and bright,
All things were 'go'
for the big, special night.
The baskets were waiting,
all decorated with care,
In hopes that the Bunny
soon would be there.
My little brother Sam
was asleep in his bed,
While visions of Easter eggs
rolled round his head.
And I in my pyjamas
with the cat on my lap,
I had just settled down
for a quick little nap.
When outside the window
I heard a great noise,
I sprang from my chair
and jumped over some toys.
As quick as a flash
to the window I flew,
I pulled up the shade
and, OH, what a view.
The moon on the meadow
cast a bright golden glow
And the wind blew the flowers
to and then fro.
Then all of a sudden
from out of nowhere,
Came some lively bunnies,
hopping here, hopping there!
Leading the group
with ears long and funny
Was a plump, all-white rabbit...
That's right...the EASTER BUNNY!
The bunnies hopped past,
one, two, three, four,
The rabbit called out
and then there were more.
'Come, Peter! , Come, Flopsy! ,
Come, Benny! , Come, Joe!
Now hop along! Hop along! Hop along! GO! '
So up on each doorstep
the bunnies did hop,
With baskets of eggs.
(Let's hope they don't drop) !
Just at that moment,
on the porch down below,
Came the stomping of feet
'Twas the rabbit, I know!
As I stepped from my window
I heard a loud sound.
Through the door came the rabbit
with a leap and a bound.
He was furry and soft
from his head to his feet.
To see him so close
was really quite neat.
He was surrounded by eggs
that had been carefully dyed.
Easter eggs galore he soon would hide.
His eyes were all twinkles,
His nose was so pink,
And I can't be too sure,
but I think he did wink.
He had a kind face
and a big fluffy tail
That bobbed up and down
like a boat with a sail.
A twitch of his nose
and a flick of his ear
Was his way of saying,
'You've nothing to fear.'
He uttered no sound
as he hopped all about
Hiding the eggs and leaving no doubt,
That the Easter bunny had come
like he does every year...
Bringing baskets of happiness
to children so dear.

A vision to behold
At Christmas time, throughout the world
A story often told.
A carpenter name Joseph
A simple-minded man
Engaged to dear sweet Mary
Who promised him her hand.
Now Mary was naive girl
A virgin young and pure
Of all the women in the world
The Lord had chosen her.
To bear the child, Emmanuel
The Saviour, soon to be
A royal king to live and die
That we might be set free.
An angel came to Mary
Gabriel was his name
He came to bring good news of joy
Not fill her life with shame.
She had conceived the child of God
T’was growing in her womb
Though she felt blessed to fill this quest
How could she tell her groom.
To Joseph, she’d been faithful
She’d never gone astray
How he could know the miracle
That happened on that day.
The baby she was bearing
Was sent from up above
The Alpha and Omega
The Price of peace and love.
Her soul was filled with wonder
Yet fear crept in her heart
They’d label her, adulteress
And tear her world apart.
She quietly spoke with Joseph
And gently held her breath
An unwed pregnant woman
Could be stoned and put to death.
Joseph was a righteous man
Though he was in dismay
He planned to press no charges
And quickly walk away.
But Gabriel came to Joseph
One night while in his sleep
He said that Mary spoke the truth
The vows, he then would keep.
Joseph’s heart was full of joy
He knew that they’d been blest
His virgin bride, no longer cried
Their faith had stood the test.
Her feelings for this tiny child
Were strong, like any mother
The life that grew inside of her
Was special, like no other.
She knew this child was worthy
He was the Chosen One
And she had been anointed
To bear the Spirit’s Son.
So on a donkey, Mary rode
The time drawing near
The birth of Jesus Christ was nigh
Upon a midnight clear.
The inns were full, no where to go
To give birth to her son
So in a stable filled with hay
Her labor had begun.
The King of Kings was born to her
She held her baby tight
An eastern star shone brightly
In Bethlehem that night.
While shepherds found their way to Him
And kings from far away
They offered gifts of gold and myrrh
To Him, that sacred day.
Wise men blessed the heavens
His name was richly praised
As angels sang on glory high
The Staff of Life was raised.
The guests were quite enraptured
By such a wondrous sight
All the corners of the earth
Was filled with holy light.
The world and its inhabitants
Would never be the same
For Mary bore the Lamb of God
Christ Jesus was His name.
The Redeemer was delivered
Young Mary held her son
Just as was told in scripture
It is written, it is done!

6 years have passed and it still only seems like yesterday, spoke to Adam today and he sounds so much like you, Grace is your living double. You would be so proud of them both, life has not been the same since you left but God only takes the best, always in our thoughts Gwyn....till we meet again xxx

In the taxi tonight memories of you came to me like a shockwave, frightening really as it has not happened in a while, I had to look in the rear view mirror as you always said to me that you would be sitting there if anything ever happened. I half expected to hear your voice over the radio calling candy cane and I would of replied rusty nail. A lot of things have changed since you left us Gwyn some good and some not so good but through it all you are the biggest loss. We all miss you so much, your wicked sense of humour, your ability to make people laugh and that cheeky smile of yours. As we all say God only takes the best. Till we all meet again and have a good laugh together xxxx

For the New Year my wish will be
for family and friends to be happy and healthy,
I wish for lot's of laughter not tear's
for I spent a lot of time crying this year,
I don’t want war and I wish for peace
I just want everyone to feel at ease,
I wish for children to feel free to play
and feel the sun on their face on a warm sunny day,
I wish for my angel's in heaven now
that they will let me know their around somehow,
Just something small to let me know they are near
keeping me calm when I feel a sadness or fear,
Another year is about to start
but my angel's will live forever right here in my heart.
